Easter Craft Ideas For Kids
|
When we were in school, Easter was a time for lots
of fun. Crafts were made to bring home and show our parents who'd
proudly place them around the house. Here are three great ideas to
make the Easter holidays more fun.
Egg Maracas
You will need:
Plastic eggs
Glue
Rice, BB pellets, or marbles
Enamel craft paint
Newspaper
Paintbrushes
Bowls of water
Make sure you have a clean table and then cover it over with paper.
Give each person a bowl filled with water, a brush to paint with,
and some plastic eggs.
1. Pick something to fill the egg with from the ingredients you have
available.
2. Once you've added your filler, place a small amount of glue
around the opening of the egg. Close the egg tight and wipe off any
glue that shows.
3. Once the glue on the egg is dry, let the children choose a paint
color and then paint their eggs. Or allow them to mix colors for a
creative egg.
4. Place the eggs on the newspaper to dry.
Tissue Paper Easter Bouquets
You will need:
Tissue paper in assorted colors
Green pipe cleaners (eight per child)
Styrofoam blocks (optional)
Plastic or glass vases
Scissors
Ribbon in assorted colors
Give every child their own space on the table and give them all each
scissors, pipe cleaners and a vase.
1. Ask each child to pick their colors from the tissue paper.
2. Give each child a few sheets of tissue paper and have them roll
them together. Take a pipe cleaner and secure one end of it around
the center of the rolled tissue paper.
3. Take the individual sheets of tissue paper and separate them out
into folds. Pull them out to surround the edge of the pipe cleaner.
Cut the paper if it is too long.
4. Make enough flowers to create a full bouquet. Take some ribbon
and wrap it around the flowers.
5. You can now get the kids to place their flowers in their vases.
In order to keep the flowers from drooping over you can get a piece
of styrofoam that is cut to fit in the bottom of the vase and stick
the other end of the flowers in it.
Easter Cards
You will need:
Card stock paper
Markers
Stickers (Easter themes)
Scissors
Glue
Construction paper
1. Cut the paper to the size wanted for the Easter cards. Fold the
paper in half. Have the children cut the paper into some Easter
shapes.
2. You can get the children to draw pictures or add stickers to the
outside of the card to add to it.
3. Have the children write their own messages inside the card for
the special person who'll receive them.
4. These cards can then be delivered by hand to their special
recipient.
Making these kinds of crafts is a great way for family bonding.
Instead of doing this only on holidays and special events, put aside
time for crafts with kids on a regular basis.
