This is a huge book! Over 500 pages thick, it’s almost completely full of recipes (some pictures too which are helpful) for every meal and snack of the day. These ladies have done their work. The first section of “information” is only about 30 pages long and mostly tells of the specific ingredients they call for throughout the rest of the book – with a clear explanation of why they recommend these particular items for success on their plan. I found this section to be particularly helpful. nike air huarache avis I’m a fan of “easy” when it comes to food and the kitchen. It’s been my critique of this plan all along that it calls for these “weird” things – some of them that you can’t pronounce and others that I just don’t like – Stevia being the one that tops that list. And, be forewarned, there is stevia or some other “alternative” sweetener in a TON of these recipes. nike air max 2015 But if you can stomach the stuff, more power to you. nike huarache I’ll be using my honey, maple syrup and *gasp* sugar, thank you. I know it’s a key to success on this plan but honestly, I don’t care. There. I said it. Ok, so back to the recipes. From what I’ve seen so far, these look pretty simple. Most of them are minimal ingredients and easily available ingredients except for their specialty stuff (mentioned above) which, often, are optional and can be omitted. For instance: Integral collagen (click to buy on Amazon) – for many of the recipes this is optional but gives your recipes a nutrient boost. Sunflower Lecithin (click to buy on Amazon) – to help keep sauces, smoothies, etc., smooth to the last drop. It’s a new “go to” for Serene and Pearl and also mostly option in the recipes. MTC Oil (click to buy on Amazon)– very often you can substitute Coconut oil for this “power” oil. nike air max 90 homme Not Naughty Noodles (click to buy on Amazon) – also known as Shirataki pasta, this no calorie, no carb pasta is … Mochilas Fjallraven Kanken Infantil fairly new. I hesitate to buy much of it because it seems like there hasn’t been enough time for the potential negative effects to be seen (remember the miracle sweetner, Agave? Not such a great choice after all.) Personally, I’ll stick with spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles made with my veggie spiralizer (click) or good old pasta made from wheat flour occasionally too! If you’re a stevia fan, you’ll love all the sweet recipes that can be desserts, snacks or even breakfast food. If you hate stevia, like me, the use the recipes as a base and use your sweetener of choice. Currently under $15 on Amazon, the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook is priced fairly. The two books together will set you back just under $30 – not cheap, but given the success people have had on this plan, it seems cheaper than alternative diets out there. Give it a try! I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review. I was not compensated in any way for giving a positive review.
