Book Title: Spark Joy Author: Marie Kondo My rating: 3 stars My review: I read Marie Kondo’s original book “The Lifechanging Magic of Tidying Up” with much interest. air max 90 femme I’m at a stage of life where I’m wanting to purge and just go minimum. But after too many years of accumulating stuff and clutter, that’s not an easy task. Enter Marie’s books. nike air max homme They’re helpful – to some degree. They’re also somewhat “cult-like”. Which is why I can only give this book 3 stars. That said, I’d recommend this follow up book ahead of the original. basket nike air max The basic illustrations are helpful and though it’s equally full of the somewhat “out there” notions of talking to and about your things as if they’re living and have feelings, you can just read over that and get to the meat of this system. Talking of your things like they’re living beings? Here’s an example that popped out as I randomly opened to pages 156-157:

“If you take a hundred dollar bill and place it on the table, it loses any hint of its former majesty. While I don’t disagree with the notion of everything should have a place and that you should take good care of the things that you own and use, this is taking that a bit too far. It’s a shame that these books are so full of this kind of thing because the practical steps in the “Konmarie” method are great outside of all of that. So, do I recommend these books? Yes and No. nike air max 2014 Yes, if you can look beyond the “make sure to thank your socks for covering your feet” kind of stuff and can just use the book as a motivation to take steps to keeping things that are truly important to you.
