I\u2019m calling today \u201cChristmas Eve-Eve,\u201d which really just means I\u2019m attempting to get my brain to slow down before the real chaos starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week I\u2019ve been thinking about how often we treat December like a sprint \u2014 mentally, emotionally, financially. Gifts, school events, adjusting to family expectations, and trying not to burn out. And then January shows up and expects us to be \u201ca new person.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n


I\u2019ve been trying to permit myself to land a little softer this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


For me, that looks like:
letting some things stay undone
not forcing holiday perfection
paying attention to what my body is asking for
supporting our immune systems because winter always hits hard after stress<\/mark>
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And honestly, I usually wait until after Christmas to restock wellness things. That\u2019s just how our budget works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
