See these two?
They are two of my very favorite people. I think you can see why:
We had a great time visiting Legoland in Schaumburg, IL yesterday. Really it was a blast. While I’m not a huge lego kind of gal in that I didn’t play with them when I was young, I think they are fabulous for all sorts of things – imagination, fine motor skills, logical thought, math reasoning, etc. Legos and/or duplos are one “toy” I think every home should have.
Some of the creations at Legoland are beyond amazing when you consider that each “sculpture” had to be done by hand:
See… my favorite … isn’t she a cutie?
I’ll just let the pictures speak for a bit:
I was having a too much fun to worry about camera settings and getting the “perfect” shot, fyi. Forgive me!
Great highlights – the rides (only two of them but you really don’t need more) were such fun and perfect for kids of any age. We took a “build your own Willis Tower (aka Sears Tower) which was really good and fast. The 4D movie was … well it was a lego movie so you know, but the place was packed and the kids were having a fabulous time!
Though it was crowded it wasn’t overwhelming. My ears got a little tired by the end of our visit but I had forgotten how loud hundreds of 2-12 year olds (and their lego building dads) can be!
Legoland is a wonderful family activity. You can fit everything in in just an hour or two or spend more time building and make a full afternoon of it. And you won’t be disappointed. It’s really is great!
Many thanks to Legoland and Windy City Kids’ Guide for the opportunity to visit and post this review. Though I received some free tickets, I was not compensated in any way for this nor was I required to give a positive review.
