About a week ago I was driving and listening to a program on the radio. nike blazer The host was interviewing an author of a new book and the author was interesting, fun and the story seemed intriguing. I filed the book title away wondering if I’d remember it. Fjallraven Kanken Sale I shouldn’t have wondered. Since then I’ve seen it and heard about it left and right. My local Sam’s Club has a stack of them ready to sell. It’s The Pug List by Alison Hodgson Published by Zondervan My rating: 4 stars My review: If you’re a pug fan looking for a great story about pugs and the life of a cute and naughty little pug, I fear you’ll be disappointed. Yes, the pug does make an appearance (several do) but the one that the book is about – indeed, the one that the subtitle references as ” a ridiculous little dog, a family who lost everything, and how they all found their way home” – doesn’t show up until the last part of the book. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I didn’t like the book. I did. In fact, as I thought about how I was going to review it I struggled with how to even talk about it. nike air max 1 It’s an “entertaining” read? Yes, the author is a fun writer who pulls you into her story very easily. Fjallraven Kanken UK It’s an enjoyable read? The same, it really is. But to say the story is entertaining or enjoyable seems to make light of what a majority of the book is about – the family’s house was burned down … not just burned down but was intentionally set on fire by a stranger. nike air huarache avis This is a tough book too! So, just be prepared and all you puggies – check your expectations! You’ll like this (watch the video above) I’m sure, but don’t expect a story about a dog.
