Once my husband and I had children we realized we needed to have a plan in place in case something happened to one or both of us. It’s not a fun process but thankfully we had a good friend who was working as a trust attorney and could walk us through step by step. It wasn’t cheap either, but well worth the time and money spent to know that the kids and our money and possessions would definitely be well cared for in the way that WE wanted them to.
