This website uses affiliate links from Amazon and other retailers. All that means is that if you click on a link within one of my posts and then immediately purchase at that site, the retailer gives me a small (very small) kickback.

Example: I link to a toy on Amazon. You click on the link in my post and say, "Wow, that looks great. I'll buy one right now too." After your item is shipped to you, Amazon says, "Hey, thanks for sending your reader to us to buy this thing. Here's a little Amazon credit as a thank you." (Well they don't really say that but you get what I mean.) The bottom line is that buying this way doesn't cost you any more at all. It's all from the actual retailer saying thank you to me for sending you there.

Referral links work similarly and I use them occasionally too.
